태종

태종 (King Taejong), the third king of Joseon, reigned from 1400 to 1418. He is known for his efforts to consolidate royal power and improve the kingdom's administration. Historical records, including the 『조선왕조실록』 (The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty), document his decision to build 창덕궁 (Changdeokgung Palace).

창덕궁 (Changdeokgung Palace) Historical records highlight the unique features of Changdeokgung, particularly its layout that respects the natural topography of the land. Unlike the more formally arranged 경복궁 (Gyeongbokgung), Changdeokgung was designed to blend harmoniously with its surroundings, a characteristic that made it a favorite residence for many Joseon kings.
